Born 1 August 1914. In 1923 Delano and his family emigrated to the United States. In 1938 Delano worked as a photographer for the Federal Arts Project documenting the lives of the workers at the anthracite mines in Pennsylvania. From 1936 to 1937 Delano photographed for the Works Progress Administration Project in New York City, New York. In 1939 Delano worked as a freelance photographer in New York City, New York. Delano worked for the Farm Security Administration from 1940 to 1942. He worked mainly in Georgia and New England. From 1940 to 1943 Delano worked as a photographer for the Government of Puerto Rico and for the Office of War Information. In 1946 Delano became the director of Motion Picture Services for the Government of Puerto Rico. From 1947 to 1957 Delano worked as an independent filmmaker in San Juan, Puerto Rico....
